Inside Solanzo Testing: How Every Pump Earns Its Rating

A datasheet is a promise. The test bench is where we make sure it is an honest one. Before a Solanzo pump leaves the factory it does not get inspected; it gets run.

The bench test

Each production model is verified on instrumented hydraulic benches: calibrated flowmeters, precision pressure transducers, power analysers. The pump runs across its curve, from low head to shut-off, and the measured points must land on the published curve within tolerance. A pump that misses its numbers does not ship with them.

Beyond a single reading

Point measurements catch bad pumps; endurance catches weak designs. Sample units from each run go through extended continuous-duty testing: hours at rated load, thermal checks on windings and bearings, seal integrity under sustained pressure. What survives the bench earns the design its nameplate; what does not goes back to engineering.

The small checks that prevent big failures

  • Pressure-tightness: every casing assembly is leak-tested before it ever sees water in the field.
  • Electrical checks: insulation resistance and earth continuity on every motor.
  • Vibration and noise: a rough-running pump is rejected even if its hydraulics pass.
  • Documentation: serial traceability, so every shipped unit can be traced back to its batch and its test.

Why it matters to you

Quality systems like ISO 9001 are easy to print on a brochure. What actually protects the installer on a cold morning in front of a new borehole is simpler: the pump in the box was proven before it was packed. That is the standard we hold, quietly, on every unit, every day.
